"NEVER can get to see a DOCTOR"

I began feeling unwell approx. 13th Nov (1mnth ago). Rang for App after advised by 111 night before. NO app. Told to ring 8.am nxt day & still no App. Had to see Bardoc 8.30pm at Hosp. I've finally got an app nxt wk. I'm 68 yrs old. Very tired/lethargic/ at times breathless. Dreadful. Can never see a doctor when poorly. What's the point in being registered with this practise I Can never get to see a doctor.

We are sorry that your experience of our service was not a positive one. We do sometimes experience very high levels of demand that are challenging with the clinical resources we have available and we are unable to meet all demand for GP appointment requests. We do however have procedures in place so that we can help with urgent medical issues that will not wait; the receptionists have been trained to ask some questions to help us ascertain the nature of the medical need and help us to help patients get the most appropriate care by the most appropriate healthcare professional in a timely manner. It would appear from your comment however that this did not happen. If you would like to contact the surgery again and provide some details we would like to investigate the circumstances so that we can learn from it and improve our service.
