I was at the LRI today (10.12.19) for a D&C and Polypectomy. Never had general anaesthetic in my life or ever had to stay in hospital. Lovely experience start to finish. I can genuinely say I actually enjoyed my stay. Usual problems with lack of beds and recovery beds and I was lucky to get my operation completed today when others around me had to go home. Nurses, Doctors and Consultants all informative and made me feel at ease, both in the TAA, Theatre and GAU post op. Not a pleasant thought having to have what I had done but I actually enjoyed the experience. Now home to recuperate but need to send massive thanks to all the staff who looked after me. The NHS always gets bad press. I can say it definitely isn't the staff, sadly it is the austerity of current times. Thank you everyone. Jo B
