About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I visited  A and E today, it was freezing in the Minors waiting area.

It was unpleasant for everyone especially those who are unwell.

Dear Chilly10

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us - please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you. I was sorry to read that due to the seasonal weather you were left feeling cold in the Emergency Department Minors - you are quite right, it can't be very nice for our unwell patients.

I am responding to you as a member of the Patient and Family Experience Team, but I will share your story with the team in the Emergency Department and the Estates Department to see what can be done.

Dear Chilly10,

Just to let you know, I have spoken to our Emergency Department Matron who has told me that a heater is now going to be installed in the waiting room. Hopefully this will prevent patients visiting from getting cold whilst waiting to be seen.
