"Simply the best"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

To the Maxillofacial Team.

I was admitted on Sunday November 24 for my Mouth Cancer Operation the following day. I was very impressed with the care and consideration I received that evening from staff and consultants who explained what would happen and put me completely at ease that evening and who returned the following day to finally check I was prepared and ready for a nine hour procedure. The team welcomed me into theatre and I awoke in Critical Care where I received professional monitoring and visits by the surgical team over two days and afterwards on D8. Everyone greeted me with a smile and gave me encouragement and helped me to understand my progress. After 10 days, my progress towards discharge had gone to plan and I left the hospital feeling very grateful for the care and kindness from our wonderful NHS in general and QA in Portsmouth in particular. If you need a surgical procedure be confident and trust that you are in the best of hands.

It's always worrying to have to come in to hospital, specially for a procedure, I am pleased that all went well and the Teams were very supportive as we try very hard to provide the best care possible to our patients.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this positive feedback, I will share this with the Teams involved in your care as I am sure they will be delighted in reading this.

Kind Regards

Lisete
