Referred to the eye clinic by my GP with suspected tear to retina, a very busy department but run extremely efficiently. From the the receptionist, to the nurses and doctors.
Shortly after booking in I was given a short sight test, then drops placed in eyes and then both eyes scanned.
Was then seen fairly quickly by a doctor who carried out a thorough examination and confirmed a tear.
She lasered my eye in order to try to prevent further damage explained everything to me and said I would need to return in a week for further check up. She also discovered Glaucoma in the other eye which would need treatment.
A week later I returned again very busy but was seen quickly for basic sight test drops and scan.
Examined by another doctor who following the examination said the laser treatment was successful and that the tear was healing, and that no other appointments were necessary except for the glaucoma which he also confirmed.
A very professional extremely well run department, could not have wanted for better care.
"Great treatment"
