About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gastroenterology

(as a relative),

From the start March 2018 my wife was very sick went to gp got referred to wishaw general hospital got to see a gastro surgeon in September 2018 who diagnosed my wife with diabetic gastroparesis since it all began my wife has been admitted around 30 + times and 4 feeding tubes fitted with no success. My wife has lost around 5 stone in weight as a result of her chronic pain. I have spoke to the surgeon who looks after my wife, he has put her forward 3 times for a gastric pacemaker still nothing and still in chronic pain plus being sick all the time all you get is pain killer's and anti sickness tablets.

Dear Big rab

Thank you for getting in touch and I am sorry to hear of the issues that your wife is encountering presently, at what I am sure is a very worrying time for you both.

In order for me to look into this further, I would appreciate if you could contact Yvonne Ross our Patient Affairs Manager on 01698 366558 with more information to allow us to be able to feedback to you in more detail.

Kind regards

Faith
