I rang 111 and was advised to go to A&E. Pilgrim is my closest A&E however I chose to attend Grantham due to previous experiences of Grantham A&E being positive.
The wait was only an hour and a half. I was triaged by a lovely Nurse who explain that I would be seen by the consultant within the hour and I was.
The consultant was brilliant. He listened to me and after examining my eye made a follow up appointment for me to be seen at the eye clinic in Lincoln. I was given clear instructions about how to administer my medication.
My visit to Lincoln County Hospital was impressive. After booking in it was explained to me that I would be seen by a consultant and my permission was asked in respect of if a 4th year med student could sit in on my consultation.
Very slick process. All my questions were answered.
I would like to add my dissatisfaction at the diabolical parking at Lincoln. I arrived 30 minutes before my 2.15 appointment and spent 15 minutes trying to find a parking space in both the public carparks. I witnessed aggressive behaviour by a number of people “jumping” into spaces where it was obvious that others had been waiting. I noticed that there are no clear signs to direct people around the carpark no arrows or signs to depict the flow of traffic. I was approached by a gentleman walking through the carpark to go and park next to Lincoln prison in a private carpark.
This I did and was able to park for 2 hours at a cost of £2.40
"A very slick process"
