"Sometimes it’s the little kindnesses that stand out the most"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

Just wanted to give particular praise to the Dr who saw us in Paediatric A&E. His name was Will. Our 14 month old baby boy was really distressed. Dr Will managed to calm him, & was just so kind and charming with him, even complimenting him on his belly button (our boy loves his belly button). Sometimes it’s the little kindnesses that stand out the most, and this Dr brought some sunshine into an otherwise quite stressful situation. As well as working professionally & taking remarkable care of our boy. Great work, thank you & well done!

Dear Hev115,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you. I was so pleased to read about your experience in our Paediatric Emergency Department and how Dr Will was able to put your little boy at ease. It really is the little things that make all the difference sometimes and this is heart-warming to see.

I am responding to you as a member of the Patient and Family Experience Team here at the Trust, but I will be sure to pass it to Dr Will so he can see your kind comments.

Best wishes and have a lovely Christmas,

Jess
