"Friendly, kind nurse"

Attended Elmbank medical practice for my regular smear test which I was nervous about. Like some women I find this an uncomfortable procedure but understand the importance nonetheless. I was greeted with a smile from Nurse Gillian who asked how I was, I replied I was “good, but nervous”. Following this Gillian made me feel extremely relaxed and comfortable, explaining what she was doing and making meaningful conversation to take my mind off the procedure. It was over in minutes and changed my mind on having a smear test as it differed so much from my last. Gillian was everything you’d expect of a nurse and deserves a little bit of recognition.
