The Emergency doctor not only thoroughly investigated my symptoms, she was sufficiently concerned to consult there and then over the phone with Warrington Hospital, recommending a head scan. My immediate referral via A&E resulted in a CT scan that night and the discovery of a brain tumour. Without this diagnosis I would not now be under the expert care of the Walton Neurology Centre.
