"Staff were overall polite and caring"

About: Holme Valley Memorial Hospital / Day surgery

(as the patient),

I attended the Day Surgery Unit at Holme Valley Memorial Hospital on Monday evening this week for a consultation regarding a minor problem for which I had minor surgery straight away whilst I was there.   This took less that one hour which was really good.   The staff were overall polite and caring and everything was explained to me.   My only comment is that when I was having the procedure the staff were having a conversation unrelated to me which made me feel a little like an object on a conveyor belt.

Hello Hill Walker

Thank you for getting in touch with your honest comments.

I have contacted the service this morning to share your experiences.

Michelle and the team at Holme Valley would like to apologise for making you feel how you did whilst having the procedure. They take on board your comments and will make sure that this does not happen again. They will also reflect on your experience in the next team meeting to ensure that the whole team get a gentle reminder and learn from your feedback.

Emma
