Moved my elderly Housebound mother to another practise. It was impossible to get an home visit when needed. A staff member would decide if they thought a call was necessary having never met my elderly mother!! They would tell us to "bring her down" with total disregard for her position of being disabled, house bound needed to be hoisted into her Wheelchair and unwell.
It was virtually impossible to get a wheelchair Taxi free at the times needed to get her to surgery. I felt they behaved unprofessionally towards us and did not show any compassion. Communication or advice from a GP was rarely given and her medication never reviewed.
I moved my mum to another practise and her care is excellent. GPs call with advice and will visit if deemed appropriate. She has Dementia and many other health issues. At last she receives wonderful care from the staff at Manor House surgery for which I am so grateful. Her Medication is reviewed regular and they treat her with kindness and dignity.
