"Getting a French prescription changed into an English one"

About: Limbrick Wood Surgery

(as a service user),

We are in the process of selling our French home and buying a house in Northampton, England.   This house is not finally signed for yet and we are temporarily living with my sister in Coventry (where I had lived all my life until we retired in 2002).   My husband and I have six monthly prescriptions in France and my doctor wrote the last one for me in English knowing that I was moving back, and assured me that this would be accepted by a pharmacy in England.   This has not been the case and we have made several visits to different pharmacies, phone calls, one lasting over an hour, two visits to the Walk In Centre, Coventry, and phone calls to 111, with no positive result.

This morning I contacted the Limbrick Wood Health Centre, Jardine Crescent, Coventry, and had a most helpful call with the Receptionist there, and was able to make appointments for my husband and myself.   My faith in the British Health Service had been totally lost.   We fully appreciate the problems with the NHS but didn’t know what to do next. This young lady has restored it

Thank you for your kind comment. All Receptionists have customer care training and are all friendly and helpful. I am glad your experience with Limbrick Wood was a positive one and has now restored your faith in good practice within the NHS.
