I obtained a full copy of my medical records from a hospital and then from the practice. I went through the records horrified at the wrong information, which I noted and listed. I spoke to the manager, and one of the Drs. The manager informed me she would investigate the issue but it would take a long time, the Dr apologised about the matter but it was left to the manager, understandably, to investigate the issues raised. To date I have not had any response and no rectification to my records. I feel really angry about this and worried as this wrong information could lead to my not receiving the correct investigations and treatment. I have contacted the practice about it and just been fobbed off. Dr's have a duty of care to protect patients, how can they do that if the records are wrong and contain information that is untrue and the rectifications are not made. And if this can happen to me then who else has it happened to. I even went to the GMC and they do nothing!
