"Thank you A&E Doctor!!"

I had to take my 6 Year old to A&E this morning following an accident. I had to take both my children with me, the WIFI in the waiting area meant they were able to get on-line during the wait and made it easier for everyone to pass the time.

The doctor who saw my Son was brilliant. His manner with the kids was excellent and they were both instantly at ease. While he treated my son (drained his swollen finger nail), he distracted him with jokes and games which had the kids laughing when it could've been very distressing.

I didn't catch the Doctors name but both he and the Speciality Nurse were excellent. I think it's important to give this positive feedback and I hope he is able to receive these comments!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent trip to our Emergency Department. I'm glad the wifi allowed you to entertain your children! I'm really pleased to hear that the doctor looking after your soon was so helpful. A trip to the Emergency Department can be extremely stressful for children, so I'm really glad he went out of his way to make it easier. I will make sure to pass your comments onto the department, but since this feedback is anonymous I cannot pass it onto the individual member of staff.
