"Appalling Department "

About: Leeds General Infirmary

Many partner went in with loss of sensation below his waist and had several scans only to be left for day while the doctor was supposed to be “reviewing” the results. No communication and no timeline, just being left to wait. The Nurses are amazing and are really looking after him, it’s the actual doctors that need to start putting the patients firsts. If only we could opt out of national insurance and put it in a private fund instead. The management in this hospital need to seriously review how this department is run.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

I am very sorry to read that you and your partner had such a distressing time whilst in our care. The level of service that you have described is not what we wish to offer.

It would be useful for our services and for future patients if you could discuss the matters you have raised further with our Trust’s Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS). This would also allow us look into the matters you have raised more thoroughly.

Please call our Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0113 206 6261 or alternatively email patientexperience.leedsth@nhs.net
