The surgery used to be really good but recently it has felt overpopulated and low morale. As an example, the increase in patients means you might struggle to get an appointment in the same week even on the booking system. Or when you are in the surgery may feel rushed. Sometimes it feels as though the GP's don't have time to listen which is sad.
The main annoyance is those of us with long term conditions and involvement with secondary services. If a GP calls back about it, then I would suggest reading through their own notes. My GP seemed confused I was awaiting a callback from them when she noted that as the case! It's things like this that make me wonder if they should be so keen on new referrals. It sometimes feels as though a GP is cutting corners to make back time. It is worrying when you think about it.
I've heard good reviews about another surgery in the area. It might not have weekend appointments, but I'd rather sacrifice that for what we have in place now. It was a different situation when I registered 10 years ago.
