Many thanks to the doctors, practitioner nurses & staff who look after my husband & my health so well over many years.
Early this year, my doctor rang me at home about my blood test results which show my cholesterol was slightly high & my blood sugar level was on the borderline of becoming a diabetes. The doctor suggested to me ways of lowering my cholesterol & blood sugar levels thus protecting me against the developments of heart problems & diabetes.
The doctor arranged for me to see a dietitian. Now I am aware of which foods to eat & which to avoid. The doctor also advised me to participate in a nine months diabetes prevention programme which is extremely useful. I am now adapted to a healthy, active lifestyle: eat well & do lots of exercises: such as yoga, dancing, swimming, gym, keep fit, Taiji, etc. provided by the Council. I recommend the programme to anyone who wants to keep away from diabetes.


Our memory is getting worse as we get old. I particularly appreciate the reminders of text messages & telephone calls made by the clinic staff before attending an appointment. I have never had any problems with making an appointment with my GP.

The clinic has an exceptional receptionist who is kind, polite, caring, helpful, warm & always smiling. This person makes patients feeling good, who is a valuable member of the team. Imaging if a receptionist can’t handle a worrying or angry patient, who may argue with the receptionist or even worse put his or her anger online which could affect the reputation of the clinic. Very often satisfied patients don’t comment on good services they received.

I have been living in Barking for over thirty years & I have seen how our local health care facilities have greatly improved over time.
