"Staff levels"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Stroke care

(as a relative),

My elderly mother was admitted to the stroke unit, doctor and consultants care was not faulted, however apart from 2 nurses I found that most of the staff were bank staff who knew very little if anything regarding my mothers care, one in particular was rude and discussed my mothers care in the corridor and appeared to have a very abrupt manner, there was no communication from nursing staff apart from the consultants round, we had to chase staff on the ward as anyone we could find were bank staff, very nice hospital and a lot of money spent on facade but money would be better spent on full time staff that can communicate with relatives also what happened to patients confidentiality, the right to be treated with respect, very disappointed in care
