I have recently completed my cardiac rehabilitation course at Paignton Leisure centre. I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks for the amazing work that they do, together with the volunteers. I had a cardiac arrest in March and had to have replacement aortic valve ( Derriford) , but then had a number of viruses caused by the open surgery which resulted in a 10 week stay at Derriford. When I came out I had lost a lot of weight and muscle as well as self confidence. I struggled to walk up stairs etc. I attended the first cardiac group in the summer and found it very difficult. However from that point each week I have improved exponentially. I cannot praise or thank the team enough for the progress that I have made. I am now able to jog and cycle and have got back my self confidence.
Many thanks for providing this life saving/changing support.
"Fantastic support"
