My 12 year old son was taken into Preston in an ambulance last Friday afternoon. It was his first ever hospital visit, and therefore very scary and worrying, and he was in a lot of pain. But all the staff who saw him were amazing!
We’d like to thank the Paramedics, children’s A & E nurses and Drs, anaesthetists, urology Dr and surgeon, the porter, recovery nurses and the staff on the children’s ward. (And anyone we’ve missed!)
My son was trying to be brave and everyone was so friendly and gentle, and took time to explain exactly what was going to happen and answer his questions. You were all so kind to him, and to me, and we appreciate it so much.
We couldn’t believe the speed with which he was dealt with too! We arrived at 12pm and by 4pm he was going into theatre, and home by about 8pm.
I have been telling everyone how brilliant you all were and we want to say a big THANK YOU!
He is making a good recovery and we feel proud of our local hospital and reassured by the excellent care it provides.
"Fantastic staff!"
