Eyesight deteriorated rapidly and was given pre-op appointment. I felt all the staff were so reassuring and explained everything that would happen. Was very fortunate to get a cancellation for next day and as I didn’t have a lot of time to think about the operation I was a bit nervous however again all the staff were so friendly, warm, reassuring and kind and I was able to put my confidence in them. Nine weeks later, I had my second cataract in the other eye and again I was treated very well and some staff remembered me from previous admission which made me feel more settled.
Would like to mention all staff were friendly and professional however agency nurse Anne was fabulous and her gentle hand reassuring me was so comforting. Would also like to mention Dr Miller who was also kind and whose pacing was very reassuring, I did not feel rushed at any time and he took time to explain what was happening, really appreciated it
