"Amazing services"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Melton Mowbray)

I had given birth on the 9th October 2019 at 10.35 pm on the ward on the 2nd floor. The midwife and student who took me in care were both great, although they finished at 9pm, they were very professional and did everything by the book. They even got me food considering I wasn't going to eat for the next few good hours. I had to be induced due to risks of preeclampsia. They were so nice and encouraging telling me often how well I'm doing and encouraging me all the time. When they had to leave and the second midwife took over I got the same great service. The baby came very fast and although she weren't prepared for the final stage of labour she was very quick thinking and in just one second she was by my side advising me when to breath and when to push. She was also quick in asking for help as I had lost a lot of blood and I needed stitching straight away. The doctor who did my stitches she must've done an amazing job as well as my stitches only hurt for a few days after.

I have to mention the hospital is very clean and well equipped.

Yes the waiting time was long before getting admitted and also I had to wait for a room to be free on the delivery ward but I had been monitored all that time and they looked after me while I was waiting for a room

I can only say once you get on the delivery ward these people have nothing than profesionalism and passion in them and they will make sure everything goes as well as they can possibly make it.

I wish I can thank those midwives for the great job they have done in those 3 hours I have been in labour and I can imagine they do this day in and day out for everyone on their ward.

Thank you ladies!
