"Steroid injection to hip"

I would just like to thank the nurse who held my hand while I cried like a baby getting a steroid injection into my hip, I have never felt pain like it, as a nurse myself I have never quite understood the gratitude from a patient when you hold their hand.  I was a stranger to this nurse as she was to me, but to have that hand, and to squeeze it at every point of pain, and have her tell me I was going to be ok was very comforting.  Just that human contact and reassurance made the whole experience better. She truly was my rock at that moment and time.

(Ps..I squeezed so hard I hope I didn’t break your fingers 😂)
