"Recent stent operation"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Vascular surgery

(as the patient),

I was in Northwick Park to have a stent fitted in my vein on Thursday which went well, but unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the Warfarin they gave me which led to me having a major nosebleed that lasted over 8hrs. As you can imagine I was massively freaking out but the staff of duty in theatre 9 were like my guardian angels that day and kept me calm especially Ruti, she was at my side the whole day and couldn’t do enough for me.

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the team & the staff on the main Recovery unit for looking after me and getting me through a traumatic 48hrs!!

Please pass this feedback onto them, to show my appreciation

🙏🏼☺️🙏🏼☺️ xxx

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your feedback about your recent procedure at Northwick Park Hospital. I was pleased to learn first of all that the fitting of the stent went well but was sorry to learn of the nosebleed you suffered afterwards and the worry that this caused.

I am glad that the staff on duty were able to provide you with assurance and help you through what I can appreciate must have been a distressing few hours. I will ensure that your thanks are passed on to the team responsible for that area, who I am sure will appreciate your kind words.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience with us and I hope that in the meantime your recovery is going well.

Kind regards

Peter Hare
