We just felt we needed to write and explain what amazing & life changing support we have had from CAMHS Udston Hospital, Hamilton, especially Kirsten.
When I first joined CAMHS, I wasn't in a very good place, I did self harm and had suicidal thoughts. I didn't like to talk about it at all even to my closest family and friends. At the start I would hardly say anything and I hated going. but with gradual time Kirsten helped me with coping mechanisms, and helped me to become more open about my feelings. In the end she helped me to think things through and cope with things which before would send me in to a dark place. The skills I have learned from going to my appointments have dramatically lifted my mood - I'm glad to say I haven't cut myself in months and I'm more confident and able to talk about my problems. I could have never got this far without Kirsten and CAMHS and I'm eternally grateful for the time I spent with them and the skills I will treasure for life. Thank you so much.
