"Longer than expected stay."

About: University Hospital Monklands / Renal (Ward 1)

Ward 1 - unexpectedly longer stay in hospital than originally planned, but happy with nursing and medical staff. I have been kept informed of what delayed me getting home and why, happy with that explanation. Happy with the food, some of which is very good, particularly the fish dishes, menu choices were better than expected, but portion are small. Nursing staff very nice, very attentive, but all staff are very good.

The connecting tunnel to the main hospital is particularly cold. Very attentive cleaning staff.

Thank you for your positive comments about the food during your longer than expected stay at UHM. I will pass these to our catering team. Patients are offered a choice of small, medium or large portions at all meal times. I apologies if you were not offered this choice.
