booked in to have the check up regarding the contraceptive pill, and It turned into someone interrogating me regarding why I have put on 10 pounds since my last visit in February. I was asked to step onto the scale, once I told my reading they were shocked and asked if I was sure it said that. then after a couple of minutes I was asked to step onto them again in disbelief I have read this right. and started to interrogate me about the weight gain, which I understand is their job however I weight train at the gym 5 times a week and have been tracking and building muscle for months now bringing fat percentage down and muscle percentage up. I asked about BMI and they told me that this isn't accurate, and we shouldn't listen to that- They then went through my medical notes even though this visit wasn't regarding that and commented on these, baring in mind I have mental illness history. I Thought the way I was dealt with was very insensitive and made me feel personally humiliated, and a trip to check blood pressure turned into being interrogated about my weight and medical history. I have been with that doctors since I was a baby until I met this one medical professional! will not be seeing this person again I Will be requesting next not to have them next time.
