"Brilliant Team"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

I had a tricky first night on G4 Ward where I was requesting pain relief but this was not provided for hours (due to staff shortages and lack of the particular painkillers being delivered from the pharmacy). I did not complain about this but the pain management team overheard the nurses talking about events throughout the night.

The pain management team came to visit and took charge of my pain management care. They reassured me it would not happen again going forward and discussed the plan they had put in place. They then continued to check on me each day and ensure the plan was being followed through.

This team is an asset to the hospital and really made a difference to my 7 night stay.

Hello Kathryn, we're sorry to hear that at first you did not receive the pain relief that you required and apologise for this. However we are very pleased that the pain team were able to help you. Thank you for your comments.
