In 2012 I was diagnosed with lupus this was a shock and also life changing. It explains a lot of what had happened throughout my life in regards to my health but at least I had a diagnosis now. Throughout this process I have had the support from NHS professionals to the higher standards. Finding out you have a condition which can alter your life can be very depressing and cause a lot of stress in my case stress was not cause flareups so I had to try and keep it minimal which is very hard.
The people I would like to thank are- •Sonia from the anticoagulant clinic she is supportive and communicates with me in regards to my anticoagulant and goes above and beyond since 2012 this lady has been fabulous!!!•Laura who is Dr Calaco’s secretary/rheumatology has also been very supportive and always helps me with appointments and is also encouraging to my situation, very kind lady always has time to help me.•Dr Calaco is my rheumatologist he has also explained my blood disorder no matter how many times I ask and has helped me to understand it he is supportive and always communicates even when the clinics are running over time him and the nurses still go above and beyond.• Savi who works in haematology as the phlebotomist , I have gone to her since 2012 and believe it or not not once has she missed my vein and I have very thin veins having your blood taken and can be very draining and painful she makes this so easy for me and I appreciate it more than she will ever know!!!•Pat worked in haematology as a nurse she has since now retired but occasionally works in central Middlesex haematology she also has been very supportive and always communicated with me, my late father used to go to get his bloods done as well and Pat was always kind and put a smile on his face she is truly one in 1 million!
