"Humiliating Nursing Care"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Aside from one Nurse in Majors, all other Nursing staff show no compassion whatsoever. Once establishing an elderly patient had a broken hip, every Nurse opted to suggest "someone else" would bring pain killers and one Nurse in particular suggested patient could walk to the toilet and sucked her teeth at the patient when advised she could not due to a broken hip, that Nurse did not bring a bed pan and allowed patient the humiliation of urinating on the trolley. Only one Nurse out of all the Nursing Staff showed any compassion whatsoever and helped to clean her up. Disgraceful behaviour from the Nursing Staff.
