"Food is not great"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

Ward 9

Treatment is good I understand the medicines I am on

Food is not great it is disgusting and always cold even the tea is cold. The menu is not varied

When I ask for something I have to wait I understand they are busy but sometimes it is a while.

The domestic staff keep the ward clean.

My family are kept informed about my care.

I am quite independent and don’t need help from nursing staff.

I advised the staff that I had an appointment for a scan and I have now missed it I expected the nursing staff to inform the department I was an inpatient and could not attend my concern is that I miss this scan.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience within ward 9. I am pleased to read that you feel that your treatment is good, family well informed and that you understand your medication. Staff will be pleased to receive this feedback. I will also pass on your positive comments about the clean ward.

I am sorry to hear that you do not like the food and find the menu is not varied. I will ensure your comments are passed on to the catering team. I will also speak to the staff about your tea being cold as I hope that this can be quickly addressed.
