(as a service user),

Husband rang for an ambulance as I had palpitations. Took 1. 5 hours to arrive in Sheffield from Barnsley. Amazing care when they arrived. Took me to A& E in Sheffield. The paramedics were lovely. Did some tests, made me feel at ease and treat me with dignity.   This what makes the NHS great. Thank you so much.

Thank you for posting about the care provided to you by our paramedics.We are pleased to hear how much you appreciated their assistance. Please accept our apologies for the length of time you were waiting. We do try to send the nearest available appropriate ambulance to every patient that needs us but sometimes the demand on our service makes it difficult to attend to everyone as quickly as we would like. We would like to assure you though that we have safe systems in place to ensure those with life threatening injuries are prioritised highest.

I do hope you have since recovered well.
