"Rubbish Service"

About: Portsdown Group Practice

Why don't they EVER answer their 'phone? I had an appointment at 5.20 this afternoon at Cosham Park House. I left at 4.50 to walk to the surgery. The surgery rang me at 5o'clock to say that the appointment had been cancelled! My partner had to run after me to stop me going to the surgery! I don't know why it was cancelled, because I can't get through on the 'phone! If I had cancelled an appointment with 30 minutes notice I would have been fined. I wasted half an hour on the 'phone, being told that my call is valued. I got to number 1 in the queue, but they still hadn't answered after ten minutes.

I now have the "pleasure" of trying to get through tommorrow to make another appointment. Even going to the surgery is useless, because the receptionists are so rude and stressed. How can we get round this? All I want to do is get the results of the blood test that they asked me to have in the first place. They have written to me, and texted me twice about this. If there is a problem, I need to know!

I 'm amazed there are so many positive reviews on this page. I have always found Cosham Park House Surgery to be very unhelpful and frustrating. When I used to go to the Crookhorn Lane Surgery they were always excellent.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.
