"Communication problems"

I was on Orchard Ward after delivering a baby. Midwife there are so lovely and helpful, but getting any information or result from any doctor is ridiculously long. I was waiting for blood test result since 4pm one day till next day 1pm. Doctor said she expected result till 6pm the same day. Then never showed up after. I waited till the next day, but nobody showed up again. After finally around 1pm I found the doctor by my own and then she informed me about results. She decided to do another blood test. Then again same situation. Nobody came to tell me even when I can get this results. Asking midwifes and consultants on the ward is pointless as all you can get: You need to wait for the doctor.. On the ward the is no doctor at the moment, and more similar answers. You need to literally stalk the doctor on the corridor to get any information. I absolutely understand that there are plenty of people to care about but I can not understand why nobody come to inform you about any progress which makes us more frustrated and worried. Very disappointing experience.
