"Left without being seen"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

(as the patient),

I arrived at the Plane Tree Centre clinic reception at 1: 50pm handed my appointment letter to a staff member. They pointed towards chairs and said take a seat in the waiting area. 2: 00 pm came and went. There were people sitting in the waiting area who were there before so I thought it was running late. I felt the 2 staff members at the reception knew and saw that I was sitting. 3. 28pm I walked up to the reception and said my appt was at 2: 00pm why have I not been seen yet. They looked shocked And couldn’t believe that I was not seen. The 1st staff member rudely replied you need go to the second counter speak to them. I took the letter and went out of the hospital.

Dear Ukhan

Thank you for contacting us with feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience in Plane Tree center which fell below the standards of care expected at Barts Health.

We would like an opportunity look into the concerns you have raised in detail and if you haven't already done so, we would request that you contact our PALS team at Whipps Cross on 0208 535 6438 or email wxpals.bartshealth@nhs.net

Kind regards
