Palliative care for my Gran

"Palliative care for my Gran"

About: St John's Hospital / Frailty Team

(as a relative),

My Gran was admitted to hospital and quickly diagnosed with pneumonia. The team did their best for her and were so friendly to her and to her family

 She shared her stories with then and she would have loved doing so. 

When she wasn't doing so well they quickly called us and kept us up to date and when we were in the hospital they couldn't be more friendly or helpful. 

At the end my gran sadly passed away and they treated her with such kindness and respect. The nurse stayed by her side whilst we travelled in and made sure she was comfortable. My Gran slipped away with no pain and I cant praise the HDU team enough. Thank you for all you do.
