"Let down"

Everything was great until I woke up on the night of my surgery to find that the pressure bandage had come off of my knee. There were steri strips or stitches or dressing on the two wounds. Both wounds had opened and were bleeding profusely. Ruined mattress topper, mattress and bed linen. Called the hospital in the morning. No call back as promised. Called again but ended up sending hubbybto the shops for steri strips, dressings and bandage. Did someone in theatre forget to dress my wounds?
