I recently fractured my left wrist, and was referred to Queen's for surgery.
My first appointment was very thorough and I was sent for all the pre operation tests. The doctors were very kind and explained everything very well.I have to say that everyone I met, including in radiology, ecg and haematology were all lovely friendly people as well.
A week later I had a call to tell me my operation would ge the following day. I attended day surgery on 8 November and, although I had to wait for a while, I was kept informed.
I was taken to surgery where again the doctors and anaesthetist were very informative and put me at my ease. As my surgery was quite late in the day, I couldn't go home but was moved into Amber B ward for the night. Again I was very impressed with the care and kindness from everyone I met; the lovely ladies who made me tea and supplied me with biscuits in the night as I hadn't eaten, the nurses and doctors who always took time to speak even though they were so busy.
Thank you Queen's hospital, I couldn't have asked for better care.
"Brilliant - couldn't ask for more"
