"Mri ct scan and colonoscopy "

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

All of the treatments were undertaken with care and compassion, unfortunately the information given at the last treatment was incorrect. Having been told that cancer was the most likely diagnosis. We were told that there would be a meeting the following day and then a phone call either that afternoon or the following day. Having waited until the afternoon I of the following day and left a message as advised we were told that the meeting would not happen until until tomorrow then we would be contacted. This was extremely disappointing and demoralising as we were very worried. Had we been told not to expect any news until the Wednesday it would have been easier to bear. Having to comfort a very distraught parent was hard . Please could you make sure that all of the information given is accurate and the pathway is cascaded to all of your staff

Thank you , Jan for contacting us and we were sorry to read of the problems with communication. This has been passed to the appropriate team, however, we would like to take this further for you and would ask that you contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01227 783145 or via email ekh-tr.pals@nhs.net . Alternatively, you can go online to www.ekhuft.nhs.uk and click the relevant 'C' and complete the form, which will then be sent to us to look into.
