After an unexpected but lengthy admission to Ward 9 I cannot praise the staff highly
enough for the care I received. Everyone on the ward involved in my care made what was a very frightening and distressing experience as bearable and tolerable as possible. After going to hospital believing I was to be there for only one day I ended up being admitted for over two months. I underwent a CT scan i the middle of the night and the care assistant who accompanied me was incredibly compassionate and sympathetic. My fears were acknowledged and reassurance given by him on that occasion and also other staff whenever needed. Staff ensured that my dignity was maintained, very much treated me as an individual and nothing was too much trouble for them. All staff, the Domestics, the Care Assistants, Nurses and Ward Doctors were extremely attentive, polite, friendly but professional, and positive in their dealings with me and care of me. My concerns about my health situation were always taken on board . The whole experience was made as good as it possibly could be by the staff on this ward. I cannot thank them enough for their care of and attention to me. I want to thank each and every one for the way they cared for me.
"Fantastic"
