Ward 9 - been in for a week, cannot fault the care, getting to ho home for a while every day. Unfortunate that I have to travel a fair amount into hospital rather than my local health centre. It would be good to have staff that can attend to my care needs. I have been kept informed of my care by medical and nursing staff. The food has been good but could be a bit more generous with portions.

Dear UHM16

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience as a patient in Ward 9. I am pleased that you are happy with the care that the staff are giving you and that you are being kept informed regarding your treatment. The staff in the ward will be grateful for your lovely comments and I will make sure that these are passed on to Sister Burke and her team.

It is also good that you are able to visit home on a daily basis but I can appreciate your frustration that you have to attend the ward for care. Without knowing the detail of your condition, I am unable to comment on whether this is something that you could have in the community, nearer to your home. Maybe this is something you could talk to Sister Burke and the ward staff about?

With regard to the food, I am glad that you are enjoying the food and will pass this on to our Catering Supervisor, also highlighting your comment regarding the need for more generous portion sizes.
