About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

On arrival for my consultation appointment with Miss Dhillon in September 2019, I was taken to the consultation room immediately on arrival. After having an 

X-ray Miss Dhillon explained what was to happen on the day of surgery, she drew a sketch of the procedure which made everything very clear to me.  I was told I would have an appointment within three months.  I received a telephone call offering an appointment for early November, I was very pleased that it was to be sooner than I expected.

When I arrived at the hospital on  the day of the operation I again  was shown to the surgery immediately by a very friendly nurse, where Miss Dhillon was waiting for me.  I was given a local anaesthetic, and felt very relaxed and had lots of confidence in the surgeon and her staff. During the procedure Miss Dhillon kept me informed in what she was doing and I did not experience any discomfort during the procedure.

Following the surgery the nurse that was in attendance explained to me what I was required to do as part of the aftercare and was given a telephone number in case of any problems arising. 

The surgeon said she wanted to see me in three months time and a letter arrived with my appointment four days after my surgery.

I cannot praise the surgeon and the supporting staff enough for their care and re-assurance. I would give ten out of ten for the care and attention I received during my orthodontic procedure. I am an extremely satisfied patient.
