"PARKING IN THE PUBLIC CAR PARK OFF JAMES WATSON..."

I left the hospital at about 8 pm this evening. The paying machines were all in total darkness. I could not see what the notice said, but a man standing nearby said that notes were not acceptable, nor were card payments. The machines were not lit at all and I tried to fumble around pressing a few buttons, but it was impossible. I eventually found a slot for the coins, and paid £3. All the time a man was standing behind me, not threatening, but clearly agitated. It was a really horrible experience, and not one I would have expected after seeing my husband who is clearly very unwell.

Please could something be done about it.
