(as the patient),

I suffer from mental health and I sometimes need to go to Accident and Emergency when I’m feeling really low and suicidal or when I have harmed myself. When attending A& E to be assessed by the mental health team I can wait hours depending on how busy they are and then I literally sit down and I'm in the room for less than 5 mins and they've dismissed what I'm feeling and sent me home without any support. It’s an absolute joke! No matter how low or how suicidal or how badly I’ve self harmed they just see me for less than 5 mins and send me home!
