"Care has been very good"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Geriatric Assessment University Hospital Hairmyres / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 12)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Everything has been great since I came in to ward 12. The nurses are lovely and they do a great job. The doctors are very good at explaining things to me and the rest of my family. The food is surprisingly good, and the hostesses are so nice. The cleaners do a great job keeping the place clean. The nurses have been phoned by my daughter on several occasions to keep them informed about my care. Care has been very good.

When I moved from the previous ward to ward 12 there was no physio set up, which I felt could have been done.

Hi

Thanks so much for telling us about your experience. I'm sorry you didn't get the physio you felt you needed at an earlier stage in your journey, but I was pleased to hear you found your care in Ward 12 to be good. I'll make sure to pass your comments on to the whole team - nurses, doctors and the hostess and cleaners. I know they'll be delighted when they read your comments.

My best wishes

Susan

Dear Uhh150,

Thank you for your kind feedback regarding your stay in Hairmyres. It is wonderful to hear how all different members of the team contribute to your positive experience in Ward 12.

I am disappointed Physiotherapy input wasn't available when you felt you needed it. I am very glad you feel you are now getting the support you need.

If you would like me to look into the delay in starting Physiotherapy, please don't hesitate to phone me on 01355 585428. We are always keen to learn when there has been a problem accessing our team.

Please except my best wishes for a full recovery and return to normality for you.

Warm regards,

Abi
