We visited a relative who was on end of life care on ward 31. The ward were fantastic allow us to spend the little time we had left together. She was treated with care and dignity at all times. The staff were all helpful and supportive during this difficult time. We visited every day for a month. Only issue is since the death we are still not able to put everything behind us due to a parking charge that we have been disputing since we started visiting. We accidentally drove into the ambulance parking area the turning before the multi storey. As soon as we realised we left and went into the multi storey getting a ticket at the barrier. We paid the fee when leaving only to be fined as parki g eye are stating we stayed in the drop off car park for 4hrs which we did not. This is now dragging for months. Is dishearting to see such a great hospital being ruined by terrible parking firms who cause added distress.
