"Birth of our first son"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Neonatal Unit (Special Care Baby Unit) Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as a service user),

From the minute I was greeted on labour ward, scared and sore, I was made to feel safe and supported.  I was augmented for PROM and had a very long slow labour that ultimately ended in an emergency c section.

The professionalism and care delivered by Eilish, Margaret N and Donna during my labour was outstanding, and my husband and I are eternally grateful.
I then had an extended stay on Summerfield Ward - my baby needed antibiotics for 5 days. Again, the care and support here was absolutely first class. All staff members from the domestics, medical staff, HCSW and midwives were amazing; nothing was ever too much trouble. Special thanks to Sophie and Jade.
You are all an amazing team at AMH and are all a credit to the NHS. Thank you so much.

Dear Septemberbaby,

Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your baby and let me thank you for providing such lovely feedback.

Labour can be such a daunting experience and it is reassuring to hear that you felt safe and supported.

The team that work here in Aberdeen Maternity are first class and I will pass on your kind regards to them.

May I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Thanks again

Liz
