After the first 5.5 hours of being in the hospital, I can't falt any member of staff, the cleanliness, and general attitude and teamwork that makes this ward work!
My initial experience was different, not a reflection on the staff, just maybe an archaic process that needs fixing - I was referred directly from a walk in centre, in clear pain, and then had to wait... what seemed an eternatity to be initially assessed again, to seeing a registrar, to then being told I had a bed... 5.5 hrs in massive pain in a uncomfortable chair and no updates inbetween. Was frustrating to say the least!!
However, once that process was over and a bed was allocated the staff moved quickly and extremely brilliantly to make me as comfortable as possible. Throughout my 3 other night stay I could not fault one, from the cleaning staff ( who were always cleaning something), to the HCA's, experiecenced and new... to the senior nurses & sisters! Nothing was ever too much trouble, regardless what level grade they were, they were a team and things got done!! I have never felt soo poorly in my life, but they made it it so much better for me and all the other patients around me. Particularly I'd like to say massive thank you's to the staff (my first few night/days in), jeez you saw me at Grimm times. So thank you 😁
"Would have been top marks"
