"Very good practice "

I have 2 older brothers with Learning Disabilities. They were seen by the doctor for a health check.

The health check was comprehensive and thorough. The doctor went through my brothers medicines and clarified their current medication with me and asked them various questions about their health.

One brother was recently diagnosed with anaemia so a rectal examination was done. The doctor asked me if my brothers examined their testicles and when I said they didn’t, examined both my brothers and found that 1 of my brothers had a couple of cysts, so has referred him for a scan.

The same brother may have Dementia but to date, hasn’t had a definite diagnosis so a mini mental test was done.

My brothers have multiple health problems and an annual detailed review such as the one carried out is invaluable for picking up potential problems.

I am so glad that this doctor is our GP.
